Todd M. Porter is an arts and operations leader with nearly 20 years of experience guiding mission-driven organizations through growth and change. He currently serves as Chief of Staff at OPERA America, the national service organization for opera, where he partners with the President/CEO and Board to advance strategy, strengthen systems, and foster an equity-centered culture.

Todd has held leadership roles at The Juilliard School, Georgetown University, and Mount Holyoke College, bringing expertise in governance, organizational design, and talent development to nationally recognized arts institutions. A trained cellist, he holds master’s degrees in Arts Administration from Baruch College, where he received the Marlow Prize in Arts Leadership, and in Student Affairs Administration from Ball State University, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Denver. He is also a freelance writer on issues of cultural policy, organizational change, and building personal and professional capacity.
