Hofstra University Dance Residency

September – November 2025
Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre will be setting an excerpt of Awaken, our recent world premiere, on the dance majors at Hofstra University. The dance residency will culminate with performances November 20-23 2025.

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre had the privilege to set an excerpt of our recent premiere, Threads, on the talented dance majors at Hofstra University. Our 3-month dance residency culminated in a performance on April 28, 2023.

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre/Notes in Motion was awarded a grant in the amount of $40,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the nonprofit arts and culture sector. Through New York State’s continued investment in arts and culture, NYSCA has awarded over $80 million since Spring 2023 to over 1,500 artists and organizations across the state.
We are honored to announce that we’ve received a grant from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs’ FY2025 Cultural Development Fund (CDF)!! Art and culture are the heart and soul of New York, contributing to a safer, stronger, more vibrant city. We’re proud to be among 1,078 organizations receiving over $59 million through the CDF - the largest-ever city allocation for the program, thanks to the partnership between the NYC Mayor’s Office and the City Council.
