Alexa Garzon, born in Hawthorne, New Jersey,began her training at D3Dancenter and Broadway Dance Center, studying various dance styles and performing with their respective performance companies. Currently, she is a student at Hofstra University pursuing a BFA dance degree, studying ballet and various forms of modern dance techniques, while also pursuing a minor in business management. In her first year at Hofstra University, she was awarded “Outstanding First Year” by the dance department. She is also a part of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. Throughout her college experience, she has performed in pieces choreographed by faculty and guest artists such as Amanda Selwyn, William Isaac, Dyane Harvey-Salaam, Alexis Robbins, Yoshito Sakuraba, Livia Vanaveer, Robin Becker, Jesse Obremski, Kizuna Dance, and Kathryn Alter. She has attended and performed in conferences and workshops including ACDA, “Aim Invitational” at Broadway Dance Center, “Choreography Seminar” at Mark Morris, and NYSDEA.
