Emily Schwartz was born and raised on a farm just outside of Quincy, IL. As an always ornery and frequently curious middle child, she grew up unafraid of most things and loved to perform. She started dancing at the age of three at Cheryl Kaiser School of Dance and never stopped. Schwartz earned her BFA from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2020. She was also lucky enough to study dance in Paris through the University of South Florida under the direction of Michael Foley during the summer of 2019. Growing up she found herself drawn to coaching and teaching as she could share her passion for all things creative while fostering a supportive and motivating environment. Still ornery and curious, Schwartz moved to Brooklyn in 2020 in pursuit of a career in the arts.
